Aurea ("we," "us") is a members-only shop operated as an unregistered sole proprietorship, not a corporation. This page explains what personal information we collect from members, why, and how to reach us about it.
What we collect
When you apply for membership: your first and last name, email address, phone number, and mailing address/city/country.
Once you're a member: your order history, the items you view or add to your cart, and whether you've opted in to marketing emails.
We never collect or store payment card or banking details anywhere in this system — payment is by Interac e-Transfer, sent directly between your bank and ours.
Why we collect it
To review and process your membership application, fulfill and coordinate pickup for your orders, respond to messages you send us, and — only if you've checked the marketing opt-in box — send you updates about availability and new products.
Who we share it with
We use GoHighLevel, a third-party customer-communication platform, to send order-related and (if you've opted in) marketing messages. Your name, email, phone, order status, and marketing preference are shared with them for that purpose only.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, or share it with any other third party for their own marketing purposes.
Marketing emails and how to opt out
Marketing emails are only ever sent if you checked the opt-in box at signup. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us directly (below) at any time to opt out.
Cookies
We use one functional cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and don't share browsing data with ad networks.
Security
Passwords are never stored in plain text. Access to member information is limited to authorized staff.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to maintain accurate business and order records. If you ask us to delete your account, it's deactivated immediately and you lose login access; some order records may be kept as required for our own bookkeeping.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account. Email us and we'll respond promptly.
Children
Aurea is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect information from, children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
